About this Talk
DesignAbility will highlight some of the custom, user-centered design solutions created to help people overcome barriers in their physical environment. We will demonstrate how a community of volunteer engineers, occupational therapists, designers, makers, and students can work collaboratively with clients to develop inexpensive customized assistive devices that remove barriers and improve quality of life.
DesignAbility will close with a look to the future, demonstrating how advancements in technology will increase our ability to serve more clients and produce increasingly sophisticated solutions to an expanding global audience.
