AccessNow’s core mission is to help unleash the independence of people with disabilities by helping them know the state of accessibility in the places they want to go to work, play, learn, create.
In February and March 2020, the company was in the middle of planning a huge MapMission day to coincide with National AccessAbility Week.
Many organizations, companies and their employees were on board to undertake, possibly, the largest accessibility mapping event in the world.
A massive campaign was in the works, Minister Qualtrough and the federal government were keen to participate, AccessNow’s staff and our friends and supporters were gearing up madly.
And COVID-19 hit.
