Tetra Society of North America
The Tetra Society of North America was formed over 30 years ago through the efforts of Sam Sullivan. Tetra operates on the premise that obstacles to independent living can be overcome with assistive technology both simple and complex, leading to assistive devices that provide solutions not addressed by commercial products. Tetra accepts requests for assistance from people with disabilities and matches them with skilled designers, engineers and technicians able to address their specific obstacles. When these are overcome, people gain independence and self-reliance and are able to pursue more active, happier, and healthy lives. In addition to building custom assistive devices, Tetra has answered the community’s call by adding COVID-19 programs and services with a focus on feeding, protecting, and supporting people with disabilities during the pandemic.
