A three part virtual conference series, during National AccessAbility Week
Enable Ottawa is now in its 5th year, bringing together individuals and organization interested in assistive devices and innovative technologies supporting accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities.
In view of these uncertain times, we cannot proceed with the in person conference and exhibition that we had planned, but also recognize the even greater need to stay connected with our friends and colleagues in the field.
Enable Ottawa 2020 will be hosted as a three part on-line forum, between 2 – 4pm daily, Tuesday to Thursday, June 2 – 4, 2020.
Day 1 | Because We Can will celebrate the contributions of persons with disabilities.
Day 2 | Let’s Talk Tech focuses on the tools and technologies that remove barriers to participation
for persons with disabilities.
Day 3 | Building Community casts an eye to the future and looks at how we can work together to
create inclusivity in the new world that emerges after Covid-19.
We invite you to join us and lend your voice to the thought leadership discussions that is helping to
reshape the future of accessibility.

About the Partners
Carleton University | READ Research, Education, Accessibility and Design
Building on Carleton University’s reputation in supporting persons with disabilities, the READ Initiative endeavors to establish Carleton as a national Centre of Excellence in Accessibility. Through research, development and collaboration Carleton is contributing toward a world that is accessible and inclusive.
Independent Living Canada (IL Canada)
Founded in 1986, IL CANADA is the national umbrella organization, representing and coordinating a network of 24 Independent Living Centres across the country to provide education and leadership for its members, organizations, partners and communities.
In Collaboration With
Tetra Society of North America builds innovative solutions for people with physical disabilities to overcome environmental barriers, providing greater independence, quality of life, and inclusion. In addition to building custom assistive devices, Tetra has answered the community’s call by adding COVID-19 programs and services with a focus on feeding, protecting, and supporting people with disabilities during the pandemic.
Their work is focused on four distinct areas: Innovation, Digital Literacy, Employment, and Assistive Technology.
